Diverse cultural activities for mid-Autumn festival in Hanoi ancient quarter
The mid-Autumn festival in Hanoi ancient quarter will open at 7:30 pm on September 19th (the 1st day of the 8th lunar month) near Dong Xuan market.
Diverse cultural activities such as lion dances, a fair, art performances for children and presenting scholarships to poor children, will take place during the festival.
Especially, Hanoian traditional cultural activities and folk games for children will be held; images and documents about the traditional Mid-Autumn festival will be displayed; and traditional cake and folk toy making will be taught.
Activities for the closing ceremony of the festival will take place from September 30th to October 3rd 2009 at 87 Ma May street.
