Dear Sister President Thu Ha:
The National Organization for Women (NOW), the largest grassroots feminist organization in the United States with hundreds of chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and with hundreds of thousands of members and contributing supporters, wishes to extend our hearty congratulations to the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) and to the attendees of the 12th National Women’s Congress.
We wish you a successful experience in reviewing the achievements of the Vietnam women’s movements and the vwu over the past five years at this Congress and in planning the work of vwu for the next five years.
The bond between NOW members and the women of the vwu in our joint efforts to advocate for the rights and well-being of women is strong. We wish to maintain this special relationship between the Vietnam Women’s Union and our own organization as we can learn much from each other.
