Comments on the draft Gender Equality Law

Attending the workshop were Mme. Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the NA Committee of Social Affairs, representatives from NA Committees, ministries, sectors, mass organizations and female NA deputies attending the 8^th session of the XI^th National Assembly.

This is the 3^rd draft which has been incorporated with comments and contributions made by delegations to the XI^th National Assembly, agencies, sectors and individuals. The draft has 5 chapters with 43 articles (compared to 6 chapters, 48 articles in the 2^nd draft). The participants’ comments were focused o­n issues and measures to ensure gender equality targets, retirement age of female employees, and punishment of gender inequality behaviors.
