CARE helps poor women to improve knowledge of the law
A project to help increase knowledge of the law among poor women, with support from the UK’s CARE International organisation, proved to be useful, said a seminar held in Hoa Binh province on July 17.
With their improved knowledge of laws and policies, the poor women became more confident in voicing their feedback, supervising social welfare projects in their localities, and giving suggestions to the local authorities to obtain more effectiveness in production.
The model of these clubs has been approved by the Vietnam Women’s
CARE International is one of the world’s three largest organisations participating in poverty reduction programmes in 70 countries and territories.
