Bill Gates to meet with Vietnamese students

Microsoft chairman Bill Gates will meet with Vietnamese students at the Hanoi University of Polytechnics on April 22.

 

The meeting is part of a brief visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.

 

According to the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), the meeting will begin at 9.30am. Around 900 students will attend and MoET will request universities send their best IT talent.

 

Gates will be in Vietnam April 21-22, with a full working schedule. The government has asked the Ministry of Post and Telematics to prepare programmes for the meeting.

 

Gates is o­ne of the founders of the world’s largest software group, Microsoft. He is the richest man in the US, according to Forbes magazine, with personal assets of $51bil.
