100% of Women’s Unions successfully organize the competition “being a good local WU president”

 The competition consisted of three parts which were knowledge, cases (problem solving) and talents. The main contents focused o­n the communication of the Vietnam Women’s Union Statutes, the X National Women’s Congress Resolution, the XIV Provincial Women’s Congress Resolution, Women’s Union main Tasks, Gender Equality Law, Law o­n Prevention of Domestic Violence, Law o­n Prevention of HIV/AIDS and others relating to the knowledge of family planning, child rearing…

Generally, the contestants solve the case studies which were set up by the Board of competition. During the talent part, there were several kinds of performances to be presented: dramas, comedies, poems, and songs composed by women members who were applying for WU’s communication at the local level.

The competition is a wide-reaching political activity, not o­nly supporting women to improve their knowledge and skills, but creating opportunities for them to exchange and share their experiences o­n local women’s activities. The best team will participate in the provincial competition in the third quarter of 2009.
