"Tet of Love" for VWU members and women in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces
VWU President Ha Thi Nga awards scholarships to poor high-achieving students On January 9th, two Tet events were organized in Bac Tra My and Tien Phuoc districts of Quang Nam province.
VWU President Ha Thi Nga and the delegation visited, presented gifts to Vietnam hero mothers, awarded many scholarships to poor high-achieving students, provided loans for livelihood development to female members, provided grant to support women-headed households to repair their houses having collapsed due to the storms, etc.
The delegation also presented gifts to VWU staff, members, and women affected by floods, the provincial border guards and disadvantaged border posts, etc.
The total budget for the events "Tet of Love" in Quang Nam province is VND 1.4 billion.
On January 10th, 2021 in Quang Ngai province, the delegation met and provided a grant amounted VND 770 million to the provincial Women's Union, visited and presented New Year gifts to Vietnam hero mothers, organized "Tet of Love" events for VWU members and disadvantaged women, and awarded scholarships to poor high-achieving students in Ba To and Tu Nghia districts.
