In the morning of March 30, 2006 the Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi solemnly organized a receiving ceremony for the objects presented by members of the UNESCO Club. The UNESCO club is in charge of researching and preserving Vietnam’s antiques.

The VWU’s delegation, headed by Mme. Nguyen Phuong Minh – Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union visited Lao from 10 to 14th April, 2006. Representatives from Vietnam Television were also part of the delegation.

Thirty-one years have elapsed since Vietnam was reunified following the end of a glorious resistance war against US imperialists. The great victory was partly attributed to sacrifices by many Vietnamese heroes who fell for their fatherland. Doctor Dang Thuy Tram was one of them. Her famous diary was cherished by two Americans, Fred and Robert Whitehurst.

After the national women’s championship, 26 players have been called up for the national team in preparation for a four-nation tournament in Ho Chi Minh City.

The coaching board of the women’s national team has set up the team’s formation to compete in the upcoming international tournaments. The 34-member selected team includes 26 players.
