  • More than 7,100 ethnic minority women participate in contest on domestic violence prevention and control

    Among nearly 184,000 women participating in the online contest “Gaining knowledge about the 2022 Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control” launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), there were more than 7,100 ethnic minority participants.
  • Conference to evaluate non-cash payment activities at TYM

    On August 19, 2023, TYM held a conference to evaluate non-cash payment activities at TYM. The meeting was attended by the Board of Directors of TYM, branch management, the Head/Deputy Head of Department/group/department of the Head Office.
  • TYM is a solid fulcrum for women with disabilities

    Over the years, many members of women with disabilities have been able to access TYM’s policy loans. Thus, in Thanh Hoa branch, women with disabilities have a source of investment capital to develop production, animal husbandry, small businesses and trading, have income, and improve their quality of life.
  • The second mother of an orphan girl

    From the host mother program launched by the Central Vietnam Women’s Union, the 9th grade girl who lost her mother at birth now has a host mother.
  • Seminar discusses ways to build more equal opportunities for ethnic women

    On July 5, the Vietnamese Women's Museum in collaboration with the Vietnam Prosperity Development Corporation held a seminar in Hanoi under the theme ‘Out from the Mist’ to spread the true and touching stories of rising above in the lives of ethnic minority women.
  • Fashion show features Ao Dai designs inspired by Quang Binh’s natural landscapes

    A fashion show was held on the two banks of Son River in Quang Binh province on June 30, introducing to the public Ao Dai designs, which were inspired by the land and culture of Quang Binh.

  • TYM becomes a lever for women in Hau Loc district, TYM - Thanh Hoa branch, to escape poverty

    Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province is a coastal plain district. Over the years, Vietnam Women's Unions of Hau Loc district and communes under Hau Loc district have always facilitated and supported women, especially poor and near-poor women, to have the opportunity to access loans with preferential rates from different financial institutions.

    The above figure was given at the workshop on supporting women and girls to access safe and sustainable clean water and sanitation. The workshop was organized by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) with the support of the United Children's Fund (UNICEF).

    An international forum was held by the Vietnam Women's Union and the UN Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women in Vietnam (UN Women) on March 29 titled "Women, Cybersecurity and STEM".

    Measures to enhance women’s access to clean water and sanitation in rural areas were discussed in a seminar held by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Women’s Union of Thai Nguyen province on March 28.
  • Increasing the participation of women in collective economic development

    The Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) held a conference in Hanoi on March 17 to kick off a project on supporting cooperatives managed by women and creating jobs for female workers until 2030 and launched the Women Entrepreneurship Contest in 2023.
  • PM urges all efforts to support women's advancement

    Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met female leaders of centrally-run agencies and presented Kovalevskaia Awards on the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8) in Hanoi on March 7 to honour the contributions of Vietnamese women to national construction and development.
