    On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the International Women's Day - March 8 and the 1980th anniversary of Trung sisters' uprising, many provincial and city Women’s Unions (WU) launched a special emulation campaign towards the 90th anniversary of the VWU’s establishment with the theme "90 practical actions for women and children".

    On the afternoon of 17 February, the VWU and FrieslandCampina Company (Dutch Lady Brand) presented handwash and milk products worth of VND 330 million to women living in Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province. The commune has been placed under quarantine after the diagnosis of several cases of Covid-19 virus there.

The opening session of the Congress was broadcast live on several major TV and radio channels.
