  • Project 8: Scaling up to ensure “No One Left Behind”

    After five years of implementation, phase I (2021-2025) of Project 8 “Realizing gender equality and addressing urgent problems for women and children". has achieved significant results. The project has basically fulfilled its four key focus areas, with 8 out of 9 core targets met or exceeded, contributing to a marked shift in awareness of people in extremely disadvantaged communes and villages.
  • “Railway of Flowers”: Spreading Green for a Sustainable Environment and Gender Equality

    On the afternoon of May 8 at Hanoi Railway Station, the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) and the Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) signed a Joint Program for the 2025-2030 period. The partnership aims to enhance coordination in Party and State building, national protection, socio-economic development, and environmental sustainability, while promoting gender equality across communities connected by the railway network.
  • VWU Hosts Training Workshop on “Applying AI to Boost Work Efficiency”

    Over 90 staff members attend training on AI applications in administrative and professional tasks.
  • Vietnam Women’s Union launches the VWU’s organizational culture handbook

    On April 26, the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) officially launched the VWU’s Organizational Culture Handbook with the aim of fostering and expanding the VWU’s core cultural values across its system.
  • Further collaboration to promote Vietnamese and Russian women’s engagement in science and technology

    On March 27, 2025, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg city, Russia co-organized an online seminar themed "Promoting the role of women and girls in science and technology". The event aimed to foster cooperation and experience-sharing between women of the two countries, encouraging greater participation of women in scientific and technological fields.
  • President of Vietnam Women’s Union congratulates the first Vietnamese-origin woman in space

    Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, the President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), has extended her heartfelt congratulations and pride to Ms. Amanda Nguyen, the first Vietnamese - origin woman descent to journey into space, affirming that this historic milestone highlights the brilliance and talent of the Vietnamese people in general and the Vietnamese women in particular, both in the United States and globally.
  • President of Vietnam Women’s Union meets with Cuban Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes to welcome his new term in Vietnam.

    On April 21st, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, the President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), had a courtesy meeting with the Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam, Rogelio Polando Fuentes, on the occasion of his duty as Ambassador to Vietnam.
  • Developing technology-applied flexible learning models to expand women’s access to knowledge

    On the afternoon of April 16, 2025, to promote the results of the Joint Program on strengthening learning promotion, talent encouragement, and building a learning society for the 2017–2020 period between the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion (VALP), the two organizations held a signing ceremony to continue the Joint Program for the 2025–2030 period.
  • “The Essence of Viet Nam” – Portraying Aspirations of Vietnamese Women for Further Development in New Era

    On the evening of April 13, in Hanoi, the "The Essence of Viet Nam" Artistic Ao Dai (traditional dress of Viet Nam) Show was held by the Vietnam Women's Union to honor, promote the value of the Ao Dai heritage, and promote Vietnamese culture, the country, and its people, especially Vietnamese women, to a broader domestic and international audience.
  • Resolution 57-NQ/TW: Transformative Policies to Empower Scientists and Drive Innovation

    On December 22, 2024, Party General Secretary To Lam signed and promulgated Resolution 57-NQ/TW (Resolution 57) of the Politburo, towards breakthroughs in national science-technology development, innovation, and digital transformation. Emphasizing that scientists are pivotal actors, Resolution 57 introduces numerous incentive mechanisms and grants scientists greater autonomy, thereby motivating their creativity and dedication.
