• Exhibition "17 Vietnamese Faces of Action for Sustainable Development" kicked off

    The exhibition is under the "17 Faces of Action" initiative of the UNOG director general Tatiana Valovaya. The initiative targets to recognise and encourage women around the world to actively contribute to socio-economic development, promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievements.

  • Celebrating 115th birthday of late VWU President Nguyen Thi Thap

    Ms. Nguyen Thi Thap, or Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tot by real name, was born on October 10, 1908. She came from a poor farmer family with a patriotic tradition in Long Hung commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province. She got married at the age of 17 at the request of her father. The marriage did not work out, she left her child at the husband’s and came back home. Since then, she joined the Revolution with the youthful enthusiasm.
  • Woman works to inspire love for Muong ethnic culture among local children

    Since 2004, Muong ethnic woman Dinh Thi Kieu Dung has held numerous free classes on Muong ethic culture to local children in Bo Town, Kim Boi District, Hoa Binh Province, contributing to inspiring their love for their ethnic culture.
  • Lotus leaf-made painting of female general Nguyen Thi Dinh presented to Women’s Museum

    The Vietnam Women's Museum, in collaboration with the Women's Club with Cultural Heritage and the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club, held a ceremony in Hanoi on August 24 to receive a portrait of female general Nguyen Thi Dinh (1920-1992) made from lotus leaves.
